Belgian chocolate is world-renowned and is synonymous with premium quality. Guylian uses only the finest ingredients. A unique blend of West-African cocoa beans lies at the basis of high quality Belgian chocolate made with 100% cocoa butter. Only the best hazelnuts from the Mediterranean are used for our own unique roasted hazelnut praline in the world famous Guylian chocolate seashells.

We still produce our hazelnut praliné according to our own recipe in the age-old traditional manner, a heritage of the company’s founding father. How we roast and caramelise the hazelnuts is a well kept secret that gives our chocolates their velvety taste.

The story of Guylian began in 1960 with its founders: Guy and Liliane Foubert. The combination of their two names gave us the name we love today, Guylian.
